Get to Know Us

"To bring women together in meaningful social gatherings that foster kindred bonds, strengthen friendships, and inspire philanthropic action in service to our community."

Our Mission
A Short History

Founded in 1954 by a small group of women seeking connection and community, our club began as an invitation-only sisterhood focused on shared interests such as gardening and music. Over time, it grew into something much more.

By 1987, we opened our doors to all women in the community, welcoming anyone looking for friendship and engagement. Monthly luncheons, inspiring speakers, and the introduction of activity groups transformed the club into a vibrant, dynamic organization.

Giving back has always been at our heart. Since 2002, our Christmas Families Project has brought joy to local families in need, and our evolution into a nonprofit charitable organization reflects our deep commitment to the community we serve.

From just 14 founding members to nearly 200 today, we continue to foster meaningful connections, enriching activities, and a strong sense of belonging for women throughout Nevada County.

Join us—and be part of a tradition of friendship, purpose, and community.
